Big loads, gentle on colours.
A 12kg top-load washer for a busy household. Toshiba's GreatWaves washing action and a direct-drive inverter motor clean thoroughly while staying quiet and saving power.
It has 8 programmes including a 15-minute Quick Wash, a self-cleaning tub, a soft-closing lid and a 5-star energy rating.
Named after the Japanese print “The Great Wave”, Toshiba's GreatWaves combines a flushing wave with cold-wash action. Clothes come out clean while colours stay brighter, and the 3+1 water flow shortens wash time on the Regular, Jeans, Blanket and Heavy Wash programmes.
The motor drives the drum directly, without a belt. Less energy is lost along the way, so it runs quieter and uses less power without giving up washing performance.
Programmes are matched to the load so clothes are not over-washed or over-soaked. Toshiba rates the time saving at up to 35% for the same clean result.
A flushing flow runs through the gap between the inner tub and the outer drum during every wash. It cleans the surfaces where dirt and bacteria usually build up out of sight.
Separate compartments for detergent and softener. A siphon cap mixes detergent with water before it reaches the clothes, leaving less residue behind.
The lid lowers slowly instead of slamming, and the body has no sharp corners — safer for small hands. Child lock and memory function are included.
